I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. (J.R.R.Tolkien, The Two Towers)

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force.

I'm trying to imagine you as an unforgiveable sin, Harold, and it's giving me a little trouble!

Regarding your "flower-test", I came out as a snapdragon too.

I can get the unforgiveable sin, it is the brass section that I'm having trouble with!

I was in the band in for 6 years in school. The instruments were divided into percussion (drums and other striking instruments), woodwind (those with a reed to make the sound), and brass (using a hollow metal mouthpiece to make the sound) and then in an orchestra you would also have the string instruments. I could play all of the brass instruments except the tuba...I was too small to pick it up or push enough air through it to play it. My playing instrument was the cornet (similar to a trumpet but with a mellower sound). But I most love listening to the French Horn with it's haunting melodies.

Harold! I was in the band. I know what a brass section IS, but you are just NOT brassy! You are, however, Mr. Literal.
