I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. (J.R.R.Tolkien, The Two Towers)

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force.

The Hard Part's Done

Finally got the leaks stopped. Turns out that the PVC cement I was using was bad. I can't for the life of me imagine why, it's only 10 years old. After court tomorrow, I'll make a new bottom shelf to replace the old one that had considerable water damage. After wrestling with the plumbing, making a new shelf will be the easy part.

funny you didn't THINK you needed the new glue. The primer is really nice too. We've used it in 16 degree weather with no leaks. You have to love PVC. You have to love staring at the parts bins willing the fittings you need to be there.
